STEP-BY-STEP: DESIGN A B Using a seam ripper, lift a point of the stabilizer, and then peel back and tear away the backing. Remove the backing from the entire area inside the hoop. Your centering lines should look like this when completed. Prepare your fabric by folding it in half length-wise and then width-wise. (For the pillow the fabric should be 20” x 20”. For other projects the size will vary.) Unfold the fabric, and gently press the rest of the fabric onto the stabilizer. To get started on the embroidered fabric, hoop a piece of sticky back stabilizer. Carefully score the backing of the stabilizer. C Using the centering notches on the hoop, use a felt-tipped marker to draw a pair of centering lines. Line up the corner of the fabric with a corner of the centering lines and press gently onto the sticky-back stabilizer to secure. D E F BUTTON UP | Full Collection | 126
