STEP-BY-STEP: PILLOW CASE B Along one 17” side of a back piece, draw a chalk line 1⁄2” in from the edge. Fold the raw edge into the chalk line and press. A C D Stitch near the inside edge of the fold to secure the seam. Repeat Steps B through D for the other back piece. Do not do these steps for the front piece. Begin the assembly of the pillow case by cutting the fabrics: • From the just finished design, trim 11⁄2” off all four sides to get to a final size of 17” x 17” • The back pieces will be 9” x 17” and 15” x 17” Fold again along the chalk line to create a 1⁄4” seam, and press.
