LEARN TO - MYLAR APPLIQUÉ | Anita’s Express | 239 NOVEMBER 2017 CHOOSING FABRICS For these designs, we wanted to find some fun mylar that reminded us of the holidays! Typically found in a variety of colors, we suggest purchasing a few variety packs of mylar sheets to produce your color palette. Once we chose our mylar sheets, we then found threads and a few cotton fabrics that coordinate with our color palette. Keep in mind that once you pair these threads with your mylar appliques, it will begin to mimic metallic threads due to the shimmer of the material, so choose boldly! If all of the fabrics and thread colors go together then no matter what you embroider, the designs will look great and sparkle bright! The example shown here are the mylar sheets and threads that we felt work well together.
