Applique Instructions H Place the appliqué fabric, face up, over top of the placement stitches, completely covering all sides. J NOTE: Designs CClassics1-Classics25 use the raw edge appliqué technique. If stitching one of these blocks, trim the excess appliqué fabric using 1/8” from the tack down stitches. When stitching the other block designs in the collection, be sure to trim the appliqué fabric as close to the tack down stitches as possible. Using a rotary cutter and ruler, trim your finished block using a 1/2” seam allowance. Now run any machine embroidery steps of the design until you run the placement stitch for the first piece of appliqué fabric. This will show you where to place your appliqué fabric. The next step will be the tack down stitch securing the appliqué fabric in place. Continue with the embroidery steps of the design until completed.
