Folded Fabric Instructions This section will show you how to create folded fabric blocks. Some of the blocks in the collection will use both of the appliqué and folded fabric techniques. B The second machine step will be the tack down stitch, securing the batting to the stabilizer. D The next step will be a placement stitch for your base fabric or first piece of appliqué fabric. In the example, it is your base fabric. Run the next machine step. This will be the tack down stitch for base fabric. To begin, hoop a piece of No Show Mesh stabilizer in your embroidery hoop. The first machine step will be your placement stitch showing you where to place a piece of batting. Then, place a piece of batting over top of the placement stitches. Be sure to cover all four sides by at least 1/2” all the way around. Using scissors, trim away the batting away from the tack down stitches and out of the seam allowance. Place your base fabric, face up, over top of the placement stitches. Be sure to completely cover all sides by at least 1/2” . CHRISTMAS CLASSICS | Premium Collection | 44 A C E F
