Seasons of the Sea with a chilly sea is the norm for our NJ beach. Autumn sea is gray-green with churning waves and sandy wind. It’s a mixer of warm and cold. Winter is quite a show. Gray skies, white fierce waves on a gray choppy sea. Everything is in motion. The gray massive clouds constantly changing and tumbling. Rainy spring brings back color to our fabulous beach. I hear the waves crashing from my front yard. The strong autumn wind practically pushes me up the street. I’m wrapped in a warm sweater but still in my flip flops. The chilly sand feels so good on my bare feet. Yes, summer is over but the beach is mine. I am alone with the waves. I can see for miles; sand, sea and sky. The ocean changes throughout the year and it feels so different for each season. Summer sea is calm and blue.
