Hurricane Warning Watching the weather channel for hours, days before they can predict where the hurricane is going to make landfall, is exhausting. I don’t know why I do it. I get caught up in the drama and can’t stop myself. I lived through Superstorm Sandy and guess I’m a bit sensitive to storms. But really, days of watching every little palm from blowing in the wind is bit excessive. It seems like this year has much more severe storms than the past 30 years that I have lived on this island. Global warming is clobbering us. I do feel safer with the completion of beach replenishment but the bay is still a problem.
