For more information: Delores Sorey soreysan@aol.com (239) 248-8059 launched our new Advanced Conservatory of Theatre classes (ACT), which provide an in-depth preparation and technical study of dance, acting, and auditioning. Receiving instruction directly from Artistic Director, Bryce Alexander and Associate Artistic Director, Jessica Walck, students are given a foundation in Stanislavski, Adler, Martin, and Meisner techniques – among others - as well as movement and body training. Working with TNP’s Resident Choreographer, Dawn Lebrecht-Fornara, students are given in depth dance training, while also receiving vocal training from Resident Musical Director, Charles Fornara. Students are also immersed in other technical elements of theatre, including stage combat, from The Naples Players’ other professional staff and departments. To expand theatre education into schools, The Naples Players continue to partner with Young Audiences of Southwest Florida to bring performing arts education into Collier County Schools. Students from East Naples and Immokalee Middle School are given workshops on directing, writing, acting, stage combat, costuming, lighting, and scenery throughout the year that culminates in their own original works performed in TNP’s Blackburn Hall with lighting and sound support provided. Our outreach program continues to provide at-risk students the opportunity to perform in KidzAct productions with financial assistance provided by KidzAct Youth Scholarships. INVOLVED 81
