KidzAct Program RHYTHM & DANCE! Youth actors perform in the KidzAct production of A Salute to Bob Fosse. “That was so professional, I almost forgot I was watching children perform!” This is a response we hear again and again from attendees of KidzAct performances. KidzAct is the premier youth performing arts program of The Naples Players. Through classes, outreach programs, workshops and fully staged productions for children and young adults ages 3-18, KidzAct brings theatre to life for thousands of students, families and members of our community. Low student-to-professional instructor ratios provide opportunities for students to experience and develop theatre skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. Classes are designed for beginner to advanced levels, including Advanced Conservatory Theatre (ACT) Classes for middle and high school. While arts education programs are eliminated from our public schools due to budget cuts, The Naples Players remain committed to providing theatre education for our community and never turning away a student due to inability to pay. Through the generosity of our donors and corporate sponsors, KidzAct continues to provide quality theatre education and life skills to KidzAct awards over $25,000 in need-based scholarships to more than half of our 600 students throughout the year, making quality peorming as education available to our entire community. every motivated student who applies. In addition to five full productions and four multi-week class sessions, TNP’s KidzAct program is expanding our commitment to assessing and filling community needs with classes for students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
