ELC’s new foundation promises a bright future for Manatee families WORDS: Amy Bell In February 2017, the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) of Manatee County established the From Cradle to College Foundation (FCTCF). Through this new foundation, the ELC hopes to build dreams, transform lives, and impact generations to come for Manatee County families. The goal of this 501(c)(3) foundation is solely to support the programs of the ELC. To jumpstart its mission, the FCTCF plans to purchase the property at 600 8th Ave. W. in Palmetto, the building where the ELC is based. “The current capital campaign or mission is to purchase this building and generate rent income or net revenues that will be given directly to the coalition,” explains ������������ ���������������������� ������������������ ������������������ ������ ������������ �������������������������������� ���������������� �������� the Early Learning Coalition of Manatee ������������������������������������������������������������������������������ this building will result in a net annual income of $400,000, which will provide much needed scholarships and services to Manatee County children and families. “The really exciting thing about this building purchase is that we will be able to use these revenues to serve more ������������������������������������������������������������������������������ for services, but are waiting for funding �������������������������������������������������������������������������������� “We believe we will be able to put approximately 100 children per year into childcare, therefore providing them with ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������� perpetual.
