Zephyrhills BRINGING YOU THE BEST OF ZEPHYRHILLS TODAY Fall is here again and you can almost feel it in the air. Fall has always been my favorite season and it’s not always easy get “in the mood” here in Florida when it’s mostly hot and humid. I have put up my decorations anyway and try to get that “feeling” of Autumn. I hope everyone reading this made it through Hurricane Irma ok. I was not here for it but still it was stressful not knowing if I had a home to come back to or not. Folks have been sharing their stories with me since I’ve been back and for the most part they took the reins and made the best they could of it. Many people were helping other people, sharing what they had and making do without. It was certainly a tough time but most people have said that they really appreciate what they have more and don’t take the “little” things like food, water and electricity for granted anymore. Our northern friends are making their way down a little early this year. Most of them want to see for themselves if their places have been damaged. They really didn’t have a hot summer this year as it was cool and rainy for the most part up north. They are really looking forward to coming back to the sunshine, nice weather and seeing their friends again. Whether it’s getting your bike fi xed, your carpets cleaned, or fi nding that perfect spot for a special dinner out, it’s all in here. We urge you to visit these businesses and take advantage of what they have to offer. We’re all for keeping the Mom and Pop stores going despite the big box stores and the internet. We have also included a recipe for good old-fashioned goulash – a quick, easy comfort food, perfect for dinner with the family or for company. It’s also a perfect way to fi ll up the little ones before Trick or Treating. We hope you enjoy! As always we welcome your input on this publication and we encourage you to e-mail us at the address below. We strive to not only help local business but to inform and entertain you, the reader as well. See you next month and be sure to count your blessings every day!
