Dalí and Schiaparelli Lunch
To kick off the “Dalí and Schiaparelli”
exhibit on display through January 14th
at the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg,
the museum’s guild held a luncheon
with a panel discussion moderated
by John William Barger III. The panel
experts were Delphine Bellini, the CEO
of Schiaparelli Paris; Bertrand Guyon,
the designer director at Schiaparelli
Paris; Dilys Blum, the senior curator of
costumes and textiles at the Philadelphia
Museum of Art; and Hank Hine, the
executive director of the Dalí Museum.

Victory Day
Dinner Dance
Lisa Mansell of the Church of Scientology
welcomed guests to a Victory Day Dinner
Dance to honor retired and active duty
military. The dinner dance was held at
the Church of Scientology’s historic Fort
Harrison in Clearwater and featured swing
music and old-time carnival games. The
evening raised funds to aid the Bay Pines
VA Fisher House in St. Petersburg, which
provides accommodations for families of
injured or ill veterans. The patriotic event
was enjoyed by all.

To support the weekly Bradenton Farmer’s Market that happens
Saturdays through May on the city’s Old Main Street, Realize
Bradenton held its first Long Table at the Station. The dinner
featured five chefs from Bradenton’s Village of the Arts and
famous Chef Paul Mattison, who has a restaurant on the Bradenton
Riverwalk. For the first course, Chef Dave Shiplett of Bird Rock
Taco Shack served rock shrimp tacos. Chef “Guy” Gaetano Cannata
of Ortygia created a second course of stuffed baby bell peppers.
Chef Jim Copening of Arts and Eats Restaurant prepared Japaneseinspired
grouper for the third course. Chef Remo Mambelli of
Arte Caffé made purses of Borsellini pasta with white truffles
for the fourth course, and Chef Paul Mattison of Mattison’s City
Grille prepared bison short ribs for the fifth course. The meal
concluded with guava brûlée made by Chef Dana Johnson of
Sugar Cubed Pastry Lab. For details on next year’s event, visit

Places were set for 200 guests at the inaugural Long Table at the
Station fundraiser in downtown Bradenton.
