Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico and is the direct cause of loss of life, both human and animals and it is going to take at least 8 months to regain a semblance of normalcy. However, the wellbeing of the affected stray dogs and cats is an ongoing crisis that requires outside help to in order to fix it. I am encouraging our whole Polk County to express their love for animals by donating to the many rescues in need of help. Our hospital is sort of adopting two shelters: Big Dog Rescue PR and  Santuario Canita. Both are 100% operated by volunteers so your donations won’t be misused for bureaucracy.  If you find it in your heart to help abate the suffering of these innocent animals, please consider a donation. Both shelters have Paypal accounts able to receive your monetary contributions. Also, we will be sending supplies, food, medicines etc to both continuously so you Meet the Doctor are welcome to leave a donation at our office in 615 Overlook Drive, Winter Haven or at our We Love Pets fund account.
