New York Yankees/Steinbrenner Family Children’s Holiday Concerts
29 years of classic holiday cheer
THE FLORIDA ORCHESTRA
THE FLORIDA ORCHESTRA | 2017-2018
For 29 years, the New York Yankees and Steinbrenner
Family have worked with The Florida Orchestra and
other local performing arts organizations to bring
holiday cheer to thousands of children from third
to fifth grade from across Hillsborough and Pinellas
counties. These special concerts are hosted by John
and Mary K. Wilson and include holiday classics,
dancers and baseball celebrities reading ‘Twas the
Night Before Christmas.
George M. Steinbrenner created the event nearly
three decades ago on both sides of the bay to spread
the holiday spirit to at-risk and underprivileged
children. The Florida Orchestra is proud to be part
of this tradition to celebrate the joy of the season
through music.
The Florida Orchestra thanks the New York Yankees
and Steinbrenner Family for so generously sharing
the holiday spirit through music, arts, and baseball
in Tampa Bay!
