Firmly secure the embroidered elephant to the pillow sham fabric
by stitching the two together. Use a thread that matches the felt,
and stitch within the 1/8” edge.
Iron the elephant to bond it to the pillow sham fabric.
With the front finished, we will now begin the back. Cut fabric for
your two back pieces, making the larger 15” x 19” and the smaller
10½” x 19”.
Fold the long edge over until it lines up with the mark line. Iron to
neatly crease the new edge. Repeat for the second back piece.
Next, fold the creased edge over a second time, keeping it at 1/4”.
Again, iron to crease the new edge. Use straight pins to secure
the folds. Repeat for the second back piece.

Begin preparing the back of the pillow sham by measuring out
the hems for both pieces. Mark a line a 1/4” in from the long edge
of the fabric.
Repeat this mark along the long edge of the second piece.
