Trim the excess base fabric as close to the tackdown stitches
as possible.
Tip: If using a delicate fabric as your base, wait until after the
embroidery details to trim the excess fabric.
Continue on with any embroidery details until you get to the
placement stitch for your folded fabric. This will show you where
to lay your strip of fabric.

Your design will look like this once trimmed.
Lay your fabric strip along the bottom of the previous placement
stitch, overlapping by ¼”.
The next step will provide you with a
folding stitch, which will allow you to
fold the fabric over creating the folded
fabric border.
