The 201 Four Naons up took place from Nov. -12 in
Florida at the Florida Hospital enter ce and Amalie Arena.
The tournament that brought large crowds of fans from all
over the world to Wesley hapel and Tampa, Florida as Sweden,
Finland, anada and the U.S. all competed for the championship.
The preliminary round games were played at FH and gave those
in aendance a small taste of the ecitement that would later
come roaring to center stage during the third-place and championship
games.

From the drop of the puck anada showcased why they were
one of the most dominang and successful teams in the world,
the team had control of the puck for the majority of the game
and outplayed Sweden from start to nish. The nal score of the
game was 9-0 anada, who also outshot Sweden 40-9. The second
game of the day featured Finland and the U.S. who had only
ever fallen to Finland once during its history in this tournament.
Previously, the U.S. had shut out Finland in si of the last eight
games over the last eight years by a collecve score of 2-2.
The game opened with lots of physical and fast play from
both teams, which connued on for most of the game despite
Finland going down several goals early in the rst period. The
game featured the debut and subseuent rst goal for Team USA
player ayla arnes who had been called up on ct. 28 from oston
ollege where she had only played ve games as a freshman
before arriving in Florida. The U.S. won the game by a score of
8-2, half of the goals scored by the U.S. during the game were
scored by defensemen.
