Built in 1894 and renovated in the early 1990s, this historical
stadium served as home field for the Rockford Peaches in the
filming of the hit motion picture, “A League of Their Own”,
featuring Tom Hanks, and Madonna. Original advertisements
from the film still remain along the outfield fence. The Stadium
also starred in the HBO movie, “Soul of the Game”and is home
to the Dubois County Bombers collegiate baseball team,
which entertains hundreds of fans June and July each year.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Place, this historic
business district, once destroyed by a fire in 1889, has been
lovingly restored to a charming Victorian downtown, housing
more than two dozen locally owned antique and specialty
shops and eateries. Most of the two-story Italianate and late
Victorian buildings were built in the 1800s and early 1900s.

This museum illustrates the life and times of people
of Huntingburg through pictures, artifacts, and
documentation including war memorabilia, a 1901
“Huntingburg Tour Car”, “A League of Their Own” items,
and Colonel Geiger’s bed, founder of Huntingburg.
