The rack of lamb at Skidder’s is prepared Greek-style and is as delicious as it looks.
IIf you are hungry, head to Skidder’s,
where you will be welcomed as a part
of the family. They are open every day
starting with breakfast. Their giant
breakfast menu includes a variety that
ranges from Eggs Benedict to cheese
blintzes. Later in the day, their full menu
appears, and the ordering decisions get
harder, as everything here is special. You
can start with some of their Greek items
or a standard shrimp cocktail. Whatever
you order, you are sure to be delighted.
Their pizzas are amazing, and they
offer a wide variety of burgers including
a turkey burger. There are also submarines
and club sandwiches, standards such as
BLTs and fresh grouper, along with Greek
specialties such as gyros and souvlaki.
For more serious dining, there are more
than 20 different pasta dishes, served
with soup or salad, including a seafood
one with shrimp, scallops, grouper and

with strawberries. It is the smoothest,
lightest, most delectable we have ever had.
Service at Skidder’s is attentive and at
times almost clairvoyant, as the servers
foresee your wishes before you even voice
them. It is a happy place where diners have
a good time in a relaxed atmosphere. The
Greek vibe is subtle, but the hospitality of
the Mediterranean can be felt throughout
the restaurant. The owners and staff are
most concerned that you enjoy your meal
and the time you share with them. They
want you to come back, and they do
whatever they can to make you want to
return. 9

calamari. They also offer several types of
seafood such as Scottish organic salmon,
twin lobster tails, grouper Française and an
incredible sea bass, in addition to a variety
of fried items. Meat lovers can choose from
several steaks and pork chops. For us, the
steak au poivre smothered in a mushroom
and brandy sauce is an absolute must,
as is their rack of lamb cooked in Greek
spices that give it a phenomenal flavor.
Next on the menu is a huge selection of
mouthwatering veal and chicken dishes.
Most of the entrées include a soup or salad
and are paired with a potato and vegetable.
The servings are super-sized, so there is
no chance that you will go away hungry.
There is a children’s menu, as this is a
family-friendly environment where you
can feel comfortable with youngsters. Beer
and wine are offered at reasonable prices
and despite a long homemade dessert list,
we insist that you order the cheesecake
