Roulade. Keftedes. Corn emulsion? For the
culinary faint of heart these words may
seem a bit daunting. Take courage, dear
culinarily-confused comrades, this is what the
Taste of Boca is all about; trying new things,
learning a lot about food and enjoying a great
time with some of the greatest chefs in the area.
The Taste of Boca Grande is one of the biggest
parties of the year and its the focal point is to
show off some of the best food our local
restaurants have to offer.
The event was created 16 years ago and it all
started with Brian Corcoran, Julianne
Greenberg, Thor Johnson, Nick Kaiser and Kathy
Hawkins. Back then it was called Taste of the
Nation/Taste of Boca Grande, and the event
showcased local restaurants and was a
fundraiser for a national hunger-fighting
organization called Share Our Strength.
