you a smile or two while you’re here! Whether
you like big band music, comedy, theater, or
golden oldies, South Florida State College
Cultural Programs has something to delight

entertainment to Florida’s Heartland since 1984
with the simple goal to raise your spirits and
increase your happy!
Get your happy on by visiting some other local sites before or
after one of our Good Time Matinee Performances. SFSC Museum
of Florida Art and Culture (MOFAC) is home to the Florida Masters
Collection, one of the finest collections of contemporary Florida
regional art. MOFAC is the only site in the state where you can view
two important artworks by Florida artist Christopher Still: Land of
Promise and On Sacred Ground, in addition to a variety of exhibits.
Admission to the museum is free. MOFAC is open an hour before
Matinee performances and Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays,
12:30 – 4:30 pm. www.mofac.org
The Hotel Jacaranda in downtown Avon Park is a national
historic landmark that is the picture of Southern repose. The all-youcan

country store that offers a sprawling front porch with rockers where
you can enjoy homemade orange ice cream or fresh juice. You
