Step-by-step
TILE SCENE
M N
Carefully place the blocks right-sides together. Be sure to line up
the tack down stitches from the base fabrics. Pay extra attention
to the elements that continue from one block to the next.
We will start with the top two blocks of the tile scene.
O P
Take the blocks to your sewing machine and carefully stitch
just inside of the tack down line where you pinned it in place.
We recommend using a basting stitch in case it shifts and
needs to be removed.
Once everything is aligned, carefully pin the section to hold the
points together. We will piece together the first prominent element.
Q R
Again, just stitch a small section of the blocks together at a
time. A basting stitch is easier to remove than a regular stitch
if you need to make changes.
Open the seam and check the alignment. If the design is
aligned perfectly, you are good to continue on to the next
element using the same aligning steps.
