Easy Donuts of Beignets

• 1 can of refrigerator biscuits (for
beignets use 2 cans)
• Cinnamon
• White sugar
• Powdered Sugar
• Chocolate frosting
• Candy/deep fryer thermometer
• 2C oil for deep frying (may need
less or more depending on
deep fryer, pan or deep skillet)

INSTRUCTIONS. Heat oil to bubbling (360 to 375) in a deep fryer, pan or skillet. Quarter each biscuit
and drop into hot oil. Keep turning for even browning. Remove to paper towel lined cookie sheet. When
drained, sprinkle with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar mix or you can drizzle with frosting while donuts
are still hot.
For traditional donuts with holes, Flatten biscuit a little and using a donut hole cutter, cut out the center.
Drop into hot oil, cook unitl golden and frost as above.
YIELD. 1 can will make 8-10 donuts and donut holes or 32-40 beignets.
