Using embroidery software, print out your design and trace the
light gray cross-hairs printed on the design. Trim out the design.
Mark the location of the center of the design on the shirt by
pushing a pin through the cross-hairs of the design and into the
shirt.
Push the pin through the center of the stabilizer. Holding the pin
securely, spread the shirt over the stabilizer. Gently turn the shirt
so that it is lined up straight with the hoop.
You have several options to secure your
shirt to the stabilizer. For this design, we
chose to lift up the shirt, a corner at a time,
and spray a temporary spray adhesive to
the stabilizer before returning and patting
the shirt securely to the stabilizer. We then
pinned the shirt around the perimeter of
the hoop to prevent any movement.
Another option would be to use a sitckyback
stabilizer instead. This stabilizer also
tears away from the finished shirt, but is
already covered with adhesive.
However, one method we do not
recommend for this particular project, is
using tape. With the size and weight of a
shirt, you can not count on tape to hold
through all of the embroidery.

While keeping the design aligned with the pins, move the design
up and down until a good location is found.
