Balloon Fairy Lights
In Japan, the Bon Festival is a celebration to honor one’s ancestors.
The festival is often decorated with brightly lit hanging lanterns that
illuminate festival goers as they participate in the Bon Odori, or “Bon
Dance.” Celebrate Bon in your home with fairy lights and our fabric
origami balloons.
For directions on folding your fabric into balloons, we suggest checking
out www.origami-fun.com for easy-to-follow folding steps, including
diagrams and printable PDF directions.
STEP 1 - Count all the lights on your string. You can make as many
balloons as there are lights, or you can alternate lights in any
arrangement.
STEP 2 - Collect your fabric balloons and attach them to the ends
of your lights. If you’d like them to stay on permanently, use a tiny
drop of glue where the fabric balloon meets the fairy light, and wait
for it to dry.
Now you can hang your balloon fairy lights!
