Appliqué Additions
As with many appliqué designs, the real beauty of a block emerges in
the detailed stitching. After placing batting, several appliqués are used to
cover the block completely, with the stitches layered over top.
The types of stitches also vary in this version, utilizing some satin stitching
as seen above, and completing fills and shading in a thicker manner to
obscure most of the original appliqué.
