Myofascial Release Therapies:
MFR is an advanced training
received by therapists to address
fascial restrictions, or tightness
of soft tissues, that causes
them to have inflammation
and movement restrictions.
This inflammation or tightness
can also cause infants and children
to have issues that exhibit
as other diagnosis. The MFR
techniques help them unlock
normal movement patterns. It
also helps calm children with
sensory disorders, autism &
ADHD. Home exercises are
taught easily and can be carried
out daily in the home with
weekly visits for MFR therapy.
ABA/Behavior Therapy: ABA
therapy is designed to help
children and adults with Autism
and behavioral challenges
to help increase verbal behaviors
and decrease negative behaviors.
ABA therapies can also
help improve social skills, independence
with living skills and
decrease problem behaviors.
Psychological Therapies: Parents
should seek the advice of
a counselor if a child experiences
disturbing emotions that
interfere with his or her daily
activities. If a behavior problem
causes a problem in peer
relationships or is disruptive to
the functioning of the family,
professional services are almost
certainly needed. A child who
has experienced a traumatic
event outside normal childhood
experience may require
the services of a trauma therapist.
Children with behavioral
changes such as: long periods
of sadness, withdrawn behaviors,
difficulties concentrating,
anger, anxiety, or severe defiant
behaviors can benefit from psychological
counseling. Family
based therapies are also vital for
a whole family approach.
Please don’t hesitate to
get the professional help your
child may need to reach their
maximum potential!
