THE NAUI ADVANCED SCUBA DIVER COURSE
If you are a new diver wanting to gain experience
while increasing your diving abilities, getting oriented to
new dive sites, and having fun, this is the course for you.
If you have recently moved into a new diving area or are
certified through another agency and would like to obtain
a NAUI certification, the NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver
course is also perfect for you. It is an all-open water,
mid-level, continuing education certification course for
divers who have successfully completed a NAUI Scuba
Diver course or have equivalent training
or experience.
The course consists of at least six open water dives.
You will review basic skills, learn much more about the
environment, navigation, dive planning, and dive safety.
The course is likely to include an orientation to some of
the following subjects:
1. Navigation (core subject)
2. Night or Low Visibility Diving (core subject)
3. Deeper Diving (core subject)
4. Search and Recovery
5. Boat Diving
6. Light Salvage
7. Hunting and Collecting
8. Exploration and Underwater Mapping
9. Non-Penetration Wreck Diving
10. Research Diving
11. Fresh Water or Ocean Diving Orientation
Upon successful completion of the course, you will
be certified as a NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver and will be
considered competent to plan dives and to accomplish
underwater tasks similar to those contained in the course.
