Talent Development is Here
to Aid Your Professional Growth
With 2018 well underway, Martin Marietta’s Talent Development team has been working closely with the Human Resources
Department to craft a diverse catalog of invaluable educational course offerings designed to foster employee growth, develop
professional leadership and improve performance. With scores of instructor-led and computer-based programs available, the team
is able to provide on-site training – whether it be at the quarry or in a district or division office. Upon request, Talent Development
specialists will also work with supervisors to create customized instruction. This year, instructor-led course offerings include:
■ Crucial Conversations – A
two-day course designed to teach skills
for creating alignment and agreement
by fostering open dialogue around
high stakes, emotional or risky topics
– at all levels of responsibility.
■ Crucial Accountability – A
one-day course that builds upon the
skills learned in Crucial Conversations,
Crucial Accountability teaches a
straightforward, step-by-step process
for identifying and resolving
performance gaps, strengthening
accountability, eliminating inconsistency
and reducing resentment.
■ Biz Wiz® – A customized two-day
training program that provides basic
business education for employees
without formal business training. Biz
Wiz® explains the financial operation
of a company and the importance of
personal involvement and cost control.
