Improving health and maintaining a
comfortable healing environment have
always been top priorities for Meadows,
which is why we are a completely smokefree
campus, inside and out.
We ask that you support the health
and well being of our patients, staff, and
visitors by not smoking or using tobacco
products when you visit the hospital.

provided in each patient room.

Family and friends may call you at the
hospital by dialing 535 + 5 + your room
number.
We regret that calls will not be added
to your hospital bill nor will the hospital
operator be able to accept collect calls for
patients. However, the hospital operator
will be glad to assist you in making your
long distance calls.
Coffee/Snacks
We invite you to visit our Starbucks Kiosk,
open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. until 7
p.m. After hours, vending machines are
located in the concession area behind the
Starbucks Kiosk on the first floor, in the
Emergency Department waiting area, and
in the Women’s Pavilion waiting area.
Restrooms
Restrooms for visitors are located on first
floor behind the kiosk, in the Emergency
Department waiting area, in the Women’s
Pavilion waiting area and on second floor
across from the Chapel.
Mail & Flowers
Mail and flowers addressed to you will
be delivered to your room by Auxiliary
volunteers. These volunteers also will pick
up any outgoing mail.
Flowers and cards are available in the
Gift Shop located in the Lobby on the first
floor. You may contact the gift shop by
dialing extension 5841 or externally by
dialing 912-535-5841.
Newspapers
The Savannah Morning News is provided
daily and the local newspaper is provided
on Wednesday of each week for our
patients. These papers are provided at no
charge and are delivered to your room by
a representative of the Auxiliary.
Drills
While you are here, the hospital staff may
have to practice a fire drill or disaster drill.
Such drills are held to assure maximum
safety for patients. Please do not be
disturbed if you hear or see evidence of
such drills.
Security Surveillance
Twenty-four hour security surveillance
cameras and recording equipment
are installed at strategic entrances to
Meadows Regional Medical Center and
security sensitive areas to enhance the
investigation of security issues. Taped
information is reviewed and maintained
by MRMC.
Visitation/Visitors
The hospital will allow a family member,
friend, or other individuals of the patient’s
choice to be present with the patient for
emotional support during the course of
stay unless it infringes on others rights,
safety, or is medically or therapeutically
contraindicated. This individual may
or may not be the patient’s surrogate
decision-maker or legally authorized
representative.
