Once the base fabric has been tacked down, use scissors to trim
the excess fabric from the center section.
Note: Not all designs require a second piece of appliqué. Make
sure to follow along with your numbered steps.
After the excess fabric is trimmed from the center, run the
placement stitch for the center piece of fabric.
Place the fabric over the placement stitches, covering the stitches
on all sides. Continue to run the tacking stitches (shown in white).
Trim away any excess fabric from the tacking stitches, leaving any
fabric outside of the squaring stitch for a seam allowance.
Continue running the embroidery steps of the design.
Remove the design from the embroidery hoop. Using a straight
edge and rotary blade, trim the design to a 1⁄2” seam allowance.
