Remove the hoop from the machine and flip to the back. Using
tape, secure the second piece of base fabric to the back, leaving
enough for a seam allowance. NOTE: You can switch your
bobbin out to match your thread for the remaining stitch work.
O P
Continue with the cutwork marking stitch.
Q R
Your trimmed cutwork area should look like this.
Once secured with tape, run the next machine step, which will be
an “L” shaped tacking stitch. NOTE: This stitch will not fully tack
the back fabric down in order to more easily put together the
centerpiece later.
Trim away the excess fabric from within the marking stitch.
NOTE: Be careful not to cut your stabilizer when trimming
away the cutwork space!
Turn the hoop over to the back and repeat steps J and K,
trimming away the fabric from the marking stitch, being careful not
to cut the stabilizer away.
