Once turned right side out, hand sew shut the seam you flipped
the design through.

Cut enough 2 1/4” strips of matching fabric to make 72” of binding.

Trim the binding stitch along the seam you just created, leaving a
1/4” for seam allowance (see black dashed line).
Once sewn closed, trim the centerpiece to a 1/4” seam allowance.
To create your binding, place the ends of two strips face to face
and perpendicular to each other. Stitch diagonally from the upper
left to the bottom right corners (indicated by white line).
To attach the binding, place the front side of the binding strip to
the front side of your centerpiece, matching the raw edges. Fold
the end of the strip back, creating a triangle, to line up the raw
edges as shown above. Pin in place.
