CHOOSING
COLORS FOR
YOUR LETTERS
Since every letter in the alphabet is truly
unique, each illustration will call for different
sets of color combinations. Choose
the letter design you want to stitch out
first, then identify the colors you want
to associate with the graphic. If you are
making more than one letter, colors can be
pulled that compliment both designs, such
as all dusty tones or jewel tones.
FABRICS
Bright, solid colored cottons are a good
option when creating these fun letters. The
less to distract on your fabric, the more the
embroidered design will take center stage.
THREADS
Select colors that are bold enough to stand
out on plain fabrics, but complimentary to
the design elements or any other letters
you are wanting to stitch out in a set.
NOTIONS
Don’t forget the scissors! These
designs include several appliqués, and
will look best when trimmed tight with
a sharp pair of scissors.
SPELL IT OUT
Use these graphic alphabet letters
to display a first or last initial,
monogram, or even decorate for a
little loved one in your life.
