STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
The next step will be the tacking stitch that
will secure the batting and the back fabric. At
this point, trim the excess batting and back
fabric sticking out beyond the tacking stitch.
Once the batting and back fabric have been
trimmed the design will look like this.
This is also where the base fabric will need
to be trimmed as well. Trim the excess fabric
sticking out beyond the tacking stitch.

Don't think that you have to
trim both the batting and back
fabric at the same time. Trim
one layer at a time as this will
give you a much cleaner cut.
