CREATING A PET
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
To begin you will need to load the FRONT of the pet that
you are stitching out. For example, we are stitching out
COOKIE-FRONT. Hoop a piece of No-Show mesh stabilizer
and stitch step 1. This is the placement stitch.
Place a piece of base fabric, right side facing up, over top of
the placement stitches. Make sure to leave at least 1⁄2” seam
allowance.
Next, run step 2 which will be a tacking stitch, securing the
base fabric to the stabilizer. Then, trim the base fabric from
the areas that will be covered by an appliqué fabric. Make
sure to leave a 1⁄2” seam allowance around the rest of the
edges. TIP: Use the design file pages for a visual and to
help guide you where to cut.

Once trimmed, the design should look like this.

Next a placement stitch for one of the paws will stitch out. Place a piece of fabric right side facing down and overlap the
placement stitch by 1⁄4”. You will then run the next step which
will be a folding stitch.
