Using pins, attach the borders to your napkin. The lace borders
should be attached to the face side of the napkin, with the
border’s bi-satin stitch edge covering the napkin seam edges.
Match your top thread with the thread color of the lace and the
bobbin thread with an all-purpose sewing thread to match your
napkin fabric. Using a walking foot, straight stitch down the center
of the bi-satin stitch to join the napkin to the border.

If there is any gapping near the joining edges of your lace, you
may use a coordinating thread to hand sew a tacking stitch at the
two points to prevent separation.
Your finished lace border napkin is now complete.

To fold your new napkin for the matching ring, fold the napkin as
seen above. NOTE: we are not lining up corner to corner, but
rather creating the fold about 2” above the center.
Next, fold in the left edge of your napkin.
