The next machine step is the folding stitch.
TIP: You may trim the excess fabric inside the placement stitch to remove bulkiness from the borders.
Next, fold the border fabric taut, and tape it in place, then run the
tacking stitch, to hold it in place.
After the tacking stitch, remove the tape and trim away the sides
of the border, while leaving at least 1/2” outside the batting for the
seam allowance.
Once trimmed, your block will look something like this. Repeat steps K through O for the next folded fabric border, and K through N to
complete the remaining 2 folded fabric borders.
