Sashing
Take the piece of fabric and pull it taut against the folding
stitch and run the tacking stitch.
To finish the rest of the folded fabric segments, repeat steps
G through K.
Remove the block from the hoop and use a ruler and rotary
cutter to trim the excess fabric and stabilizer. Leave at least
1/2” seam allowance on all 4 sides.
After the tacking stitch, trim away the excess fabric within the
batting area.
Once all the folded fabric segments are complete, the block
will look like this.
The sashing block is now complete and ready for your quilt.
