The first step is to hoop a piece of No Show Mesh and run
the squaring stitch. The squaring stitch will show you where
to place the batting.
The next step is to take the batting and place it on top of
the squaring stitch. Make sure that the batting covers the
squaring stitch on all sides by at least 1/8”, then run the
tacking stitch.
After running the tacking stitch, use scissors to trim the excess batting around the edge of the tacking stitch.
TIP: Trimming the batting will make it easier to sew blocks together when you’re ready to stitch your quilt.
