Shadow Work
The first step is to hoop a piece of No Show Mesh and run
the squaring stitch. This will tell you where to place the
batting.
The next machine step is the tacking stitch. This will tack the
batting to the stabilizer. Trim the excess batting around the
tacking stitch.
Take a piece of batting and place it on top of the squaring
stitch. Be sure the batting extends at least 1/8” beyond the
squaring stitch.
Once you have trimmed the batting, place the base fabric
on top of the batting. Make sure you have at least 1/2” seam
allowance on all 4 sides.
