The first machine step is the placement stitch for the first
appliqué. Some designs may have decorative embroidery before
this step. In that case, follow the machine steps until you get to the
placement stitch.

Next, run the tacking stitch. This will hold the fabric in place. Use
embroidery scissors to trim away the excess fabric up to the
tacking stitch.

Once you have finished all the steps, the design will look
something like this. Follow the machine steps to complete the
remaining decorative embroidery and crazy stitch steps.
Next, take the fabric and place it on top of the placement stitch.
Make sure the fabric completely covers the placement stitch on
all sides.
Once trimmed, the design will look something like this. Repeat
steps I through K to complete the remaining steps.
Once the design is complete, it will look similar to this. Tear the
fabric from the stabilizer and remove the excess sticky stabilizer
from the fabric.
