DESIGN GUIDE
HOW FILES ARE NAMED AND SIZED
The first hooping file is 1 of 2. The design files for the two corresponding file names for the design below
are: "RT2-1a" and "RT2-2a." The sequence "RT2" represents the design number, then the following
numbers: "-1" or "-2" represent the first and second hoopings respectively.
The "a" represents the file size. "a" being the larger file size, and "b" being the smaller file size.

RT2-1A
This project is completed in two hoopings. You will
need to complete part 1 of your design first. This is
indicated to the right with design file RT2-1A. Each
of the snow-globe shapes has multiple pieces of
appliqué. In order to attach the piece completed in
the first hooping, you must leave about 1/2" seam
allowance along the edge. The last step of part 1 will
tack two additional layers of batting to the snow globe
on the back of the embroidery hoop. Batting must be
tacked to the back of the first design in order for the
trapunto effect to work.
In the second hooping, part 1 of the design will
be attached to part 2 of the design via placement
stitch. Part 2 of the design is indicated to the left as
RT2-2A. Once part 1 is added to the second design,
the decorative embroidery will do all the work and
create the beautiful raised design.
