Once all your blocks are stitched, lay out the designs in the
corresponding order (for reference, see the Diagram and
Anatomy section of this tutorial).
Begin by isolating the first column of blocks to stitch.
NOTE: We will be working from top to bottom, and chose to do
the middle column first for the best alignment directions.
Separate the blocks into 5 sections to prepare to stitch. We
suggest working vertically in columns.
If the block you begin with has a 3D element like this one, use
pins to secure them out of the way of the tacking stitches for the
blocks you are joining.
Starting with the first two blocks in the chosen column, line up
the scene so any elements divided between blocks are aligned
accordingly. Pin the blocks right sides together at the tacking
stitches.
Using a large basting stitch, sew the blocks between the pinned
spaces. TIP: A large basting stitch can be easily removed if the
blocks are not aligned as desired. Repeat this process until the
important elements of your tile scene line up correctly.
