THE SIMPLE “STUFF”
After 150 days of endless rain and flooding, God
sent the storm clouds away and let the sun roll in
to dry up the water. Draw some attention to the
miracles in the sky by adding a new element into
your cloud appliqués!
We have specially digitized each cloud in this
collection to carry out our puffy appliqué a little
differently! If you’ve done puffy appliqué before,
you’ll recall placing the hi-loft batting and the
appliqué fabric in the same step. This technique is
great for standard appliqué projects, but since this
project will create a full tile scene, the hi-loft will
need to be secured a little differently to prevent
flattening at the seam allowance! To do this, we
have separated the puffy and fabric appliqué into
two separate steps. Simply place the hi-loft batting,
tack it down, then place your appliqué over it for
the perfect finish to your clouds.
Now the springs of the deep
and the floodgates of the
heavens had been closed, and
the rain had stopped falling
from the sky.
