Run the next machine step, which will be the cutwork. The cutwork
needle will cut out the base fabric.
If you are not using a cutwork needle, run this step normally; and then
use scissors to trim the fabric just inside these stitches.

Once the cutwork is complete, your block should look something
like this.

Remove the cutwork needle, replace it with the regular
embroidery needle, and then re-thread the machine. Continue on
to the next machine step, which will be the satin stitch around
the cutwork.
Carefully remove the cut pieces of fabric within the block. Be sure
to cut any stray threads inside the cutwork.
Check the back of the hoop to ensure the cutwork needle has
not cut through the stabilizer. If it has, you can float a piece of
stabilizer by taping it to the back of the hoop.
Remove the hoop from the machine. Place the reverse appliqué
fabric on the back of the hoop, face down as shown. Use tape to
secure it in place, and return the hoop to the machine.
