The next machine step is the tacking stitch for the trapunto. Trim
away both layers of trapunto up to the tacking stitch.
TIP: It’s easiest to trim one layer of batting at a time.

Place the base fabric on top of the batting, making sure to cover
it completely.

Trim away the base fabric up to the tacking stitch on all sides.
Once trimmed, the block will look like this.
Next run the tacking stitch for the base fabric.
Once trimmed, complete the decorative embroidery. The
decorative embroidery should match the base fabric.
