CHOOSING FABRICS AND THREADS
We used cotton fabric to construct the baby bibs in this
collection. When using cotton you want to make sure
that if your fabric has a pattern on it, then be mindful that
the pattern isn't too overwhelming and overpowers the
embroidery design.
Many times terry cloth is used in baby bibs and that is
definitely another choice in fabric for you to use. If you do
use terry cloth, you will want to place a piece of topping
over top of the bib right before running the embroidery.
The topping will keep the embroidery from sinking down
into the fibers of the terry cloth.
The threads used in this collection are all Floriani brand.
If you want to venture off and use different color thread
options from what we used, experiment by pulling a
reference. References can be found in a picture you like, in
magazines or a simple search on the Internet.
