The first step is to hoop a piece of no show mesh
stabilizer and run the squaring stitch.
The next machine step is the tacking stitch which will
hold the batting in place. Trim away the excess batting
up to the tacking stitch.
Take the cornerstone fabric and place it on top of the
placement stitch. Make sure the fabric is at least a 1/2”
outside of the batting area for seam allowance.
Place a piece of batting on top of the squaring stitch
making sure that the entire squaring stitch is covered.
Next, run the placement stitch for the
cornerstone appliqué.
Run the tacking stitch for the cornerstone appliqué, then
trim away the excess fabric within the batting.
TIP: Be sure to keep the seam allowance outside
the batting.
