Step-by-Step
Instructions
A B
To begin, hoop a piece of no show mesh stabilizer to fit your
hoop and load the block you are wanting to stitch. Run the first
step in the design, which will be a squaring stitch for the batting.
Take a piece of batting and place it over the squaring stitches,
being sure to cover them completely on all sides.
C D
Run the tacking stitch for the batting. Using scissors, trim away the excess batting from around
the tacking stitch. We do this to prevent bulk in your blocks’
seams later.
E F
Once trimmed, continue to the next machine step, which is a
placement stitch for the base fabric.
NOTE: Since these blocks get borders, the base fabric has a
placement stitch and will not need a seam allowance left over.
Take a piece of base fabric large enough to cover the placement
stitch completely and place it right side up over the batting.
